"This is a very talented alternative /electronica project and I believe that Morfiouz will be going places in the near future. I hear influences from all kinds of musical genres, mainly classic and new school industrial groups like Ministry, Skinny Puppy, and Haujobb with a lot of Test Department thrown in. I also hear influences from progressive Classic Rock bands like Pink Floyd.
This music spans a spectrum of darker moods, from rage to depression to quiet contemplation.
This is an interesting technique. It sort of deconstructs the idea of music down to raw elements, almost denying the performance aspect of music altogether. It’s a product of a very talented and somewhat disturbed mind.
I found this music to be quite inspiring, and I can’t wait to hear more from Morfiouz. Check it out, for sure."

Donald Allan Yenson is the sole member of the music project known as MORFIOUZ which has been in existence since 2002.
Born January 3rd, 1969 in the automotive factory city of Detroit, MI USA, Donald discovered the value of escapism through books, comics, movies and of course music. In the 80s he discovered and fell in love with less mainstream music from various scenes such as PUNK (Black Flag, Dead Kennedys, Minor Threat, Sex Pistols, The Clash), GOTH (early Cure, Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Damned, Sisters Of Mercy), NEW WAVE (Devo, Depeche Mode, Gary Numan, New Order), POST PUNK (Pixies, The Smiths, Joy Division) and INDUSTRIAL (Skinny Puppy, Severed Heads, Ministry, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult), as well as some CLASSIC ROCK (Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, David Bowie). These early influences, as well as a few from the 90s (noteably Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson) would collide and blend into the genere-less music project - MORFIOUZ.
After learning to play the Bass, Guitar, Keys and Drum Programing, he struggled with fitting in various bands from 1985 - 2000, never truly finding his "voice". At the turn of the new century he decided to give up music altogether. That is until a friend, a sound engineer, introduced him to early digital home recording. Now with the ability to flesh out the music on his own terms he started the solo project MORFIOUZ.
January 2002 marked the beginning of his solo music journey with the release of "Decayed Metropolis pt. 1: Daybreak", and has continued to this day.
In 2013, he started to explore photography. Self taught, he now has an impressive gallery of over 500 prints ranging from City Scapes, Fantasy, Book Covers, and Erotica.
